AAAS 2025

The 2025 AAAS Annual Meeting - "Science Shaping Tomorrow" - will be held Feb 13-15 in Boston, MA.

NEON's Paula Mabee (Director) and Kate Thibault (Science Lead) will moderate a panel:

The Heather Lazrus Symposium at AMS

Rising Voices is hosting a symposium at the American Meteorological Society annual meeting in honor of co-founder Heather Lazrus.

NEON's Katie Jones will be participating as a symposium co-organizer, a session moderator, and presenting a talk.

Society for Freshwater Science Annual Meeting

NEON staff will be present at the 2025 Society for Freshwater Science Annual Meeting, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This year's theme is Expanding Horizons: Freshwaters from mountains to the sea.

There will be a NEON data skills workshop, presentations, and engagement with the NSF Emerge fellows.

2025 MONet Community Science Meeting

NEON's Samantha Weintraub-Leff will attend and present at the annual user meeting of the Molecular Observation Network program, run by DOE's Pacific Northwest National Lab.

American Geophysical Union 2024

NEON staff will be attending and engaging at the American Geophysical Union Fall Meeting, December 9-13, 2024, in Washington, DC.

There will be a Battelle booth in the Exhibit Hall where you will be able to find information on NEON and other Battelle-managed programs! See below for a schedule of NEON-led sessions, talks, or workshops.

Research Data Alliance 23rd Plenary Meeting

This three-day hybrid conference will bring together leaders from around the world to tackle some of the biggest data challenges and questions we face today, to share new ideas and explore best practices in using data. With the theme 鈥楽ustainable Science鈥, the 23rd Plenary edition will be held in a hybrid format with in-person and online audience.

NEON is an organizational member of RDA, and staff will be attending with an organized session.

2024 Natural Areas Conference

"For the past 50 years, NAA鈥檚 Natural Areas Conference has gathered federal, tribal, state, regional, and local natural areas practitioners from national nonprofit organizations, private industry, and academic institutions in order to foster communication and collaboration that can lead to progress in connection to challenges in the management of natural areas." -

AmeriFlux Annual Meeting 2024

This meeting is open to any eddy covariance enthusiast, including early career scientists! Presentations and breakout discussions will be open to virtual attendees as much as technically feasible. Some agenda items (site visits, in-person poster session, conference dinner) will not be accessible to virtual attendees. Virtual attendance will be free. An all-virtual poster session will take place on Sep 10, giving all attendees a chance to come together.

Biennial Scientific Conference on the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem

"Since 1991, the GYE Biennial Scientific Conference has been a critical forum for sharing science between researchers, land and resource managers, conservation groups, tribal communities, the public, and other stakeholders with a common interest in understanding the region鈥檚 natural and cultural resources.鈥疶he fall 2024 conference coincides with the GYCC鈥檚 60th Anniversary. This milestone is an occasion to reflect on the research and conservation accomplishments that have brought us to the present day.

Alabama Water Resource Conference 2024

"The Annual Alabama Water Resources Conference is a forum for all participants of our water resources community, providing opportunities for conversation about the many multidisciplinary aspects of water resources, and making connections that will improve how we understand the complex water issues that are of importance to this state, the region, and the nation." -
